Shakshi
Samadhi meditation
SCIENCE OF MEDITATION
Meditation is the art of spiritual healing. It is a scientifically
proven science for healing various ailments whether physical,
physiological or psychological. The medical science today explains that
majority of the ailments caused to the mankind are psycho - somatic
meaning that it has a psychic or mental and somatic or physical
component. The ripples in the sub - consciousness due to the higher
levels of stress manifest some kind of physical illness. So the
principle of treatment lies in ruling out the cause by the method of
different kinds of meditation techniques
Shakshi means natural effortless witness and Samadhi is a deep
meditative state of mind. This one can attain with the help of Japa or
by awakening Kundalini
Shakti . Shakshi Samadhi meditation is exactly that - a natural,
effortless system of meditation that allows the conscious mind to settle
deeply into the self, thus giving it much needed deep rest. When the
mind settles down it let’s go of all tension and stress and centers
itself into the present moment. it removes all unpleasant thoughts and
ease feeling of mind.
Thought less stage of mind in meditation
It is only in the present moment - those moments when the mind is free
from regrets about the past, and anxiety about the future - that one
finds true happiness. In just a few sessions you will learn to tap the
depths of your own nature. You will be discovering bliss and peace
inside of your own heart.
Shakshi Samadhi meditation is very easy and enjoyable and regular daily
practice can totally transform the quality of your life. Through Shakshi
Samadhi meditation puts discipline in life and feeling of joy in mind
and rejuvenates body mind and soul.
Meditation is a journey
Meditation is a journey deeper into your true self, your true home.
Meditation is for everyone, whatever your spiritual path, Eastern or
Western. Meditation is bringing your attention inward, and allowing your
mind to settle into stillness. It is withdrawing your attention from the
periphery of your consciousness into the center. Meditation is the
mind's power to hold itself steady in the Light and in that Light to
become aware of your higher purpose, your life's mission. Meditation is
called the Science of Light because it works with the substance of
Light. Visualization is the secret of all true meditation work in the
early stages.
meditation is to establish a "united world group given to unanimous and
simultaneous meditation upon the work of preparing the world for the new
order and for the jurisdiction of the Patnjali
Buddha, Krishna /Christ ,conciseness’ [and] to establish the true
divine knowledge of and the functioning of those laws and principles
which will control the coming era, the civilization and the future world
culture"
The approach used in meditation can be of several types or combinations
of types:
·
Concentration - steadying the mind and focusing energy and attention on
an issue or task
·
Contemplation - reflecting on the deeper meaning of a seed thought (such
as compassion)
·
Mindfulness - observing with detachment the contents of the mind and
labeling sensations, feelings, thoughts in order to deepen wisdom and
insight into the nature of reality
·
Receptive -inner listening to receive impressions and inner guidance
·
Creative - using the mind to build positive pictures and giving them
life and direction with the thought energy of the mind (such as a
visualization for healing)
·
Invocative - calling in higher energy (such as invoking the
Lord self realization )
Meditation helps you develop detachment from physical and emotional
reactions to outer events, through what's called "the stance of the
observer." And most importantly, meditation strengthens your alignment
with your soul and helps you discover your higher purpose in life.
It's important to find a regular, comfortable place to meditate each
day, where you won't be disturbed. Meditating in the same place each day
builds up a vibration there and makes it easier to meditate each time
you use it. Clean and dedicate this area to create a sacred space,
adding inspirational pictures, flowers, candle, incense, etc.
Morning is best, as you are fresher at that time, and not yet caught up
in the day's activities. Meditation in the morning sets the right note
for the day. It connects you with higher spiritual energies and a sense
of purpose. If you are just learning to meditate, the maximum length
should be about thirty minutes. Before meditating, wait at least an hour
after eating and several hours after drinking alcohol.
align your posture and relax your physical body. It's best to sit up
straight with your chakras or energy centers perpendicular to gravity.
If you lie down, you may become too relaxed and fall asleep. Your hands
can be folded in lap, or with palms up or down on your thighs. Your eyes
should be closed, or if this is uncomfortable, leave them open and focus
on one thing in front of you. You can tighten up each muscle group,
beginning with your neck and shoulders, and then relax it (or you can do
stretching exercises or yoga before meditation to relax your body).
Appreciate and send love to your physical, emotional and mental bodies
before you begin the meditation, holding an attitude of cooperation,
rather than suppression, of each aspect of your personality. It's
important to stay relaxed, yet aware and awake.
Observe your feelings, as if you're watching a movie -- the melodrama of
your own life. Become a detached observer, just noticing what's going
on, without reacting. If you're experiencing fear or anger or negative
emotions, you can transform them by seeing your feelings as a ball of
energy in your solar plexus chakra (at your navel). Visualize moving
this energy upward to your heart, in order to transform these feelings
into positive, loving energy. You can actually see it as a ball of
energy, or you can just hold the intention of moving the energy up to
your heart.
You do not forget the mind in meditation; you learn to still it. It
becomes poised and alert. There is a difference here, because in
meditation you are quieting the lower, rational mind and working with
the higher, abstract mind.
You are learning to focus the mind like a searchlight into the higher
realms, in order to receive impressions and new ideas that can help
humanity. The mind is held steady in the light, perceiving a still
greater light, the light of the soul which infuses it.
Or you can repeat a mantra (a simple word or phrase) over and over, a
such as "peace" or "
Align with your Soul or Higher Self
Many meditation techniques end with stilling the mind, but Creative
Meditation goes a step further and use the mind and the will to
penetrate into the higher spiritual realms, the realm of your soul or
higher self, and to align with the great enlightened Teachers of
humanity in all spiritual traditions, such as the Lord Krishana, Christ,
the Buddha, etc.
The last step is circulation of the energy contacted in meditation as a
blessing. The spiritual energy you received in meditation is released
and directed into the world, to bring healing and transformation to
individuals in need or to humanity as a whole.
You can visualize light, love and healing energy radiating out from the
ajna center in your forehead to where it's most needed in the world.
It's important to share and circulate the energy you've received in
meditation so it makes a complete circuit of receiving and giving
energy.
Meditation and personal life
On this page, I want to explore how meditation affects the relationship
structure of the personal life.
The meditation I will be referring to is of a certain kind. It involves
a specific, scientific technique developed over thousands of years by a
series of master meditators from Patanjali to Maharishi OM, and an
essential rhythm. In fact, for a long time the rhythm may be the most
important aspect of the scientific process for moving through
consciousness which we call meditation.
Rhythm, a basically regular recurrence of an event...without it there
will be no meditation, at least not the kind of meditation about which
we are talking. We need to be clear
about that and to face facts.
According to the teaching of the
master
meditators who have - over the past ten to fifteen thousand years -
developed this system, the Soul controls its instrument by imposing a
rhythm on it. First the rhythm, then gradually but certainly we learn to
meditate our way into the Real. I say gradually because gradually is how
it happens. In this system there are no quick fixes. There is a gradual
regeneration of the three bodies, a gradual increase in the tension, a
gradual increase in the ability to hold the point of tension and a
gradual infusion of the personality by the Soul. Gradually one ceases
being part of the problem and becomes a potential part of the solution.
The person who announces to all that he is going to meditate or who
tells everyone to be quiet, to turn off the TV or
stereo because he is going to meditate, simply isn't getting the point.
The true meditator will always be able to tolerate and accommodate the
needs of others. The imposition of rhythm is by one's soul on one's
personality, not by the personality on his environment. It is a fact,
however, that once established, the rhythm of a meditator will gradually
but subjectively infuse his surrounding environment and cause the
environment to begin to beat to the rhythm that the meditator sets up.
The rhythm will create boundaries of silence in which meditation can and
does occur.
Usually it will be some time, months, years in some cases, before one
realizes the level of light that has been called in, and one may some
fine day experience this accumulation of light as a flash-like
phenomenon; however, meditation is seldom if ever a single pole switch
that activates a ten thousand watt floodlight. One does not sit down one
time and flash into enlightenment. That only happens in glamorous books.
Meditation works much more, much, much more like a rheostat.
Perseverance in meditation gradually but steadily increases or turns up
the light. The problems that meditators encounter are not because the
meditation isn't working; they are encountered because the meditation is
working. It is the increasing light that causes the problems or
restructures one's life. Eventually this light will be all pervasive. It
will infuse every aspect of the personal life. Every nook and cranny,
every dark and secret recess will
eventually be irradiated by the light of the Soul.
Once in control of the controls, life can and does get more manageable.
One can suddenly do everything that one needs to do. One is able to fit
things in, partly because of an ability to be more selective in how one
uses one's time and energy and also because of a growing ability to
simply accomplish more in a shorter period of time. Boredom is actually
an indicator of a lack of control over the mental equipment. So, instead
of flying blind, by which I mean having a mindless emotional elemental
or a self-centered personality plotting the course and piloting the
mechanism, sustained meditation puts the direction the life will take
under the supervision of the Soul.
It is this growing sovereignty over the mental body which meditation
gives that really makes a difference in the personal life. First of all
this ability to control, that is to use the mind consciously and
deliberately, is paralleled by a growing sense of occult detachment.
Gradually one begins to realize that one is not one's bodies. Amazing.
It is absolutely amazing to realize that one is simply not one's
physical body. I mean to really realize that, and then even more
amazing, and with a great sigh of relief, one can realize that one is
not one's emotional body either.
We tend to dismiss this occult virtue as simply being non-emotional
however, I there is much more to dispassion than that. Just as
detachment from form leads to attachment to Soul, and decentralization
leads to the inclusive group conscious view, Dispassion, this is a
relinquishing of concern for the personal self, leads to compassion or
the ability to express the second aspect which is love wisdom.
CHAKRA MEDITATION
Chakras, meaning wheels are the energy centers in the human body. There
are seven major charkas in the body that varies in their physical and
spiritual properties. In this method of meditation the body relaxation
is done in 3 different stages by observing the body in parts and
relaxing them simultaneously. Chanting of certain sounds helps to assist
the relaxation.
Relaxation of the lower limb
Inhale and observe and simultaneously give a command to relax the
different parts of the lower limbs starting from the toes, ankles,
calves, knee joints, the muscles of the thighs and the glutei muscles.
Once this is completed, inhale deeply and while exhaling one has to
chant "A" loudly and feel the reverberations of these vibrations along
the lower limbs. These vibrations originate from the navel and ascend up
along the midline to end at the base of the thorax.
Relaxation of the trunk and upper limbs
The same way you relax the lower part take your visualization to the
waist, abdomen, chest, shoulder, upper arms, elbows, forearms, wrists,
hands, and all the fingers. On completion consider them as a single unit
and relax them by chanting a sound "U" on exhalation and feel the
reflection of these vibrations along these regions. These vibrations
start from the base of the chest and ascend up to end at the throat.
Relaxation of the head and neck
Observe the neck muscles, facial muscles, muscles around the eyes, nose,
ears, forehead, and scalp and relax them. To enhance the relaxation
chant "Mmm" and feel the vibrations in these regions. These vibrations
start from the throat chakra and ascend up to end at the area in between
the eyebrows.
Finally one has to have a whole body in visualization and to relax the
body try chanting "AUM" and feel the vibrations starting from the naval,
ascending up through the midline to end at the area in between the
eyebrows.
Stage of resolution
Observe your mind passively, try to analyze the thoughts, and find out
the time gap between two individual thoughts by identifying and
separating them. Slowly expand the gap to get the silenced state or
aloofness of the mind. Now place any objects at the center of your mind
and focus your consciousness toward the object. Make the grosser object
to subtler and subtler till finally it disappears from the field.
Meditate on this emptiness or vacuum that is created in the field of
consciousness. In this state, go for the resolve, a simple short and
sweet positive thought or resolution to be mentally chanted 9 times
shearing through the inner silence, forming the only sound in your mind
which is embedded into your core of existence.
De-contemplation
Slowly observe the mind, thoughts, breath, and the physical body one by
one. Give minor movements to the toes and fingers. Tilt the head on
either side. And slowly turn to the right side and feel the linear
awareness on the right side for a while. Now slowly come to sitting
position and relax the muscles of the eyes by placing the hollow of the
palms covering the eyes. Open the eyes and relax.
OMKARA
MEDITATION
"AUM" is considered as the primordial sound that was formed in the
Universe. Its is believed to be formed by three different letters
namely; "A", "U" and "M". These letters represent the three periods of
time; past, present and future, three state of consciousness of the
human being; "A" comes from the belly and stands for the Awakening
State, "U" comes from the chest and stands for the Dreaming State and
"M" comes from the throat and stands for the Deep Sleep State.
